Aroor Singh, Hindoo, aged 28 years, presented himself for treatment at Ferosepore Dispensary on February 15th, 1884, suffering from extensive scrofulous disease of the right knee joint of long standing. On admission he was fearfully emaciated ; the knee joint was greatly enlarged and inflamed,, and a foetid discharge issued from its many sinuses. On account of patient's debilitated condition the case was most unfavourable for operation, so I ordered nourishing food, Syrup, ferri iodidi ter in die and charcoal poultices to affected part.
